FICO Card Alert Service receives EFT transactions daily from hundreds of thousands of non-bank and bank ATMs and POS devices, from multiple financial institutions via the EFT Network feeds.
Using automated and human intelligence, common point of purchase (CPPs) are identified and analyzed to assess the counterfeit inventory.
Suspicious transactions are identified using statistical analysis and reviewed by Card Alert Service’s experienced fraud investigators. Suspected fraud events are sent to the financial institutions for review.
Compromised card reports are created and sent to the affected card issuing financial institutions before heavy fraud losses are incurred. The cards identified have a high risk of experiencing fraud losses.
